After the original Thunderclap Newman went their separate ways, principal songwriter and vocalist John “Speedy” Keen released his first solo album “Previous Convictions” in 1973, followed in 1975 by his second LP “You Know Wot I Mean?”. This videoclip shows Thunderclap Newman Band in 2008 rehearsing “Someone To Love”, a song from his second album.

Video credit goes to Edward “Banana Splayed Relationship” Green who had bought the camera only a few days before recording. We’re lucky that someone had the foresight to film the band. Mr Green can be seen when he turns the camera on himself – very Avantgarde.
