Brian Jones died 55 years ago (3 July 1969). Here I am, 2 years ago in Cheltenham cemetery, playing a little slide guitar next to Brian Jones’ grave. The music was recorded later in a studio since there were cars going past every few minutes. One unhappy driver wound his window down and told me to pee off, shouting ‘sacrilege’. I smiled inwardly thinking how much Brian Jones would have enjoyed this incident! I am planning to make a proper song out of this idea, including lyrics. Slide over, baby.
