Had a great gig at the Dublin Castle in London (Camden) last Monday.Many bands and artists who later became famous started out in this establishment., Coldplay and Amy Winehouse to name a few. A video of one of my songs I performed there, is on its way in the next few days. I have just realised that there is a circa 30 year gap between my first and the most recent appearance at The Dublin Castle. I played there in 1993/4 with David Buckley as East Meets West, an acoustic duo. Remember Unplugged? We quite often were – unintentionally. We played there well before Coldplay, Amy Winehouse etc, and we had a real blast! Here you can see me instructing the young folk about the vagaries of Rock’n’Roll. My message to them was:” Don’t give up your daytime job even if it’s at the tax office (as in my case), the record label mafia will suck you dry and spit you out!”
