This is a clip of Thunderclap Newman Band’s rehearsal in January 2008 at a rehearsal space in west London. The quality of the recording (and playing) isn’t great but it’s a rehearsal after all. Time to try out stuff. The song is “Hollywood Dream”, an instrumental from the eponymous original Thunderclap Newman album which was released in 1970 containing the #1 hit “Something In The Air”.The only surviving member of the original line-up, Andy “Thunderclap” Newman is seen here playing the keyboard. Video credit goes to Edward “Banana Splayed Relationship” Green who had bought the camera only a few days before recording. We’re lucky someone had the foresight to film the band. More clips will follow in due course. Line up as follows: Andy “Thunderclap” Newman – keyboards; David Buckley – vocals; Antonio Spano – drums; Brian Jackson – bass; Stefanos Tsourelis – lead guitar; István Etiam – lap steel guitar
