Springtime for István

Spring has sprung and it’s time for one of my nature songs, ”Come And Smell The Hay”. Of course, there isn’t a lot of hay to be found right now except in haylofts but what the heck, just go out into the wide open, embrace Mother Nature and sing with the songbirds. The piano part for this song was recorded many years ago in my flat. Later I wrote a song around it and I am mighty glad to have a track with Andy “Thunderclap” Newman playing on it.
After all, he had a UK No1 hit in 1969 with “Something In The Air”. Andy died in 2016.
